PERSEPHONE’S CHOICE: 97X’S NEXT BIG THING

After performing at small bars and local shows in Tampa for a little over a year, Persephone’s Choice had a chance to win Battle of the Bands and secure a spot to open for 97X’s Next Big Thing. Performing in front of a live audience and multiple judges was no challenge for this fierce girl group. After a high-energy and engaging performance, Persephone’s Choice won the judges over.

Following their victory, a few weeks later Persephone’s Choice was welcomed onto the Baycare Sound stage on December 7th, opening for artists like Something Corporate and The All-American Rejects. Starting with their unreleased song, “Keeps Me Clean,” Persephone’s Choice quickly grabbed the audience’s attention with powerful vocals and emotional lyrics. The group of young women brought something different to the festival. 

Performing songs like “Waterfall,” “Demons,” and finishing their set with “Hold Me Down,” Persephone’s Choice owned the stage, moving across it with an energy the crowd wasn’t ready for, creating a performance they will never forget. The local band proved they could be the next big thing, gaining more fans and valuable experience performing on a big stage.
